1. Purchase WP Engine
2. Make a WordPress development environment in their hosting panel
3. Add & set up LifterLMS, LifterLMS Stripe, LifterLMS PayPal, Set up Kadence theme, Kadence starter sites, add a plugin for PDF slides if you’ll be using that, configure LifterLMS student login/dashboard page, general WordPress setup
4. Purchase Vimeo Pro and upload your videos there
5. Add in content to LifterLMS courses (page text, lesson text, embed Vimeo videos, add in slideshows to lessons, add in quiz questions, upload certificate background, style certificates)
6. Add in PayPal and Stripe API keys to connect them to the site
7. Point your domain to WP Engine
8. Do more tweaking and design

(optional read) How I arrived at what tools I’d recommend in case you’re interested in comments on that
(Fair warning about hosting) –
Most tech issues are related to hosting. My clients that go with a host like WP Engine have had a really smooth ride compared to clients that try out GoDaddy, SiteGround, etc. (they often end up paying more in the long run for support help, SMTP (email) services, freelancers to help get them out of tech issues, etc.) so I always recommend going with a host like WP Engine. (WP Engine also specifically works with LIfterLMS sites)
Courses – (free core plugin)
Lessons – (free core plugin)
Emails – free core plugin… but this depends a lot on your website host and what type of emails you’re trying to send. LifterLMS can do triggered emails upon course completion, enrollment, purchase receipts. But it’s your website sending those emails, so you may need an SMTP service if your web host doesn’t have great mail servers. – you should have SMTP anyway, but with good website hosts, you can often get away without one until you send ~500+ emails per day
Memberships – (free core plugin)
Video – Hosting with Vimeo Pro or Wistia Pro is the top recommendation for security and speed there. Then you can embed videos anywhere in the WordPress/LifterLMS site
Slides – If you can export these as PDFs, there are some free tools available to add these into WordPress pages (including LifterLMS lesson pages)
Certificates – in the free plugin, students can ‘print’ then save as a PDF that way
Quizzes – (free core plugin)
Payment: Stripe, PayPal – $120/year each
Subscriptions – that’s a part of the Stripe & PayPal add-ons
